Brett Kruger, cat program manager for Ten Movement partner Cincinnati Animal CARE Humane Society, spoke with Fox19 Now anchor Lauren Minor to help the station’s audience know what to do and NOT DO when they find a litter of kittens outside.

Dr. Brittany Rogers, clinical medical director for Ten Movement partner Ohio Alleycat Resource & Spay/Neuter Clinic, spoke with Fox 19 Now host Lauren Minor about carrying for neighborhood cats. Dr. Rogers discussed trap-neuter-return techniques that help both cats and area animal welfare organizations by controlling community cat populations.

CityBeat, along with the Cincinnati Enquirer, WCPO-TV, WLWT-TV and Local 12 featured the return to an in-person My Furry Valentine 2022. Hundreds of cats, dogs, kittens and puppies found new homes during the annual event.

Thane Maynard, director of the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, shared with audiences the benefits community cats bring to our lives during a special episode of his “90-Second Naturalist” on NPR.

Thanks in part to a generous donation of $1 million from the Joanie Bernard Foundation, the Boone County Animal Shelter announced on Nov. 15 the launch of a capital campaign to raise funding to construct a new, more modern building and grounds in that Northern Kentucky County. The money donated by the foundation is part of the estimated $6 million that will be needed to make the new shelter a reality.
