Join the Movement to Be Kill-Free

Welcome to Ten, the heart and home of the no-kill movement. Through advocacy, education and partnership, we exist to promote and create a no-kill nation for cats.

In the U.S., shelter killing is the leading cause of feline death. In Cincinnati in 2013, more than 3,000 cats just in Cincinnati’s shelter system were killed. In Indianapolis, more than 3,500 cats were killed. Due to overpopulation, more adoptable cats than homes exist, surrendering tens of thousands nationwide to a similar fate.

Killing cats in shelters is a preventable tragedy.

The movement for a kill-free cat nation begins with you. It begins with each voice willing to promote the practice of spaying and neutering. It begins with the clinics, organizations and individuals who give time and resources to prevent cats from being killed in shelters. It begins with the caretakers and volunteers who dedicate themselves to improving the lives of feral cats through Trap Neuter Return (TNR). It begins with every spay and neuter, every adopted feline and the hope of a life not lost.

Every 20 minutes, a cat is put to death in a kill shelter. Together we can stop it. Please join and spread the no-kill movement.
